BIOGRAPHY

Born and raised in Switz City in Greene County, Indiana Lucas Pittman FNP-C, PMHNP--BC began his career in health care at Good Samaritan in 2013 as a Student Nurse Extern/Psychiatric Nursing Technician on the LaSalle Inpatient Unit. He then went on to become a registered nurse in 2014 and now has completed his Master of Nursing with emphasis on family practice from Indiana State University in Terre Haute, Indiana in 2019. Subsequently he completed a post-masters psychiatry degree from the University of Southern Indiana in 2021 Board certified in both family practice and psychiatry Pittman has always had a passion for helping others and wanted to become a nurse practitioner so he could do more. “Upon entering my last year of nursing school, I applied to Good Samaritan and accepted a position on the LaSalle Behavioral Health unit working with patients,” said Pittman. “I liked it a lot and wanted to continue seeing these patients and remain at Good Samaritan.” He and his wife, Melissa, have two children, Makayla and Caleb. Golfing and vacationing to the southeastern part of the country are favorite past times.
