Born and raised in Vincennes, Kara Ray Cox, LCSW, began her career in Mental Health Good Samaritan in 2017. She obtained her Master of Social Work degree from University of Southern Indiana in 2015 and later obtained her LCSW in 2020. Kara became a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP-I), a Certified Alcohol and Drug Addiction Consultant (CADAC IV), she is Certified in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, trained in EMDR and Acupuncture Detoxification. Kara works at the Samaritan Center in Washington, where she sees Adolescents and Adults for Individual and/or Group Therapy. Kara has also facilitated groups specifically centered around Women and Trauma and is working to create a Batterer's Intervention Program (BIP) to Washington. She and her husband, Craig have 3 boys between them, her stepsons Ayden and Hudson and her son Croix. Together, they enjoy quality family time, watching the boys play soccer and vacations to Tybee Island. Kara and Craig also stay busy with their 2 young dogs, Bella (Golden Retriever) and Gigi (French Bulldog).
